Troubleshooting Digital Reading

Having trouble getting your EPUB to work? Here are solutions to common issues.

Make sure the file ends in .epub and you tapped it in the Files app, not in Safari's preview. Books only imports from local storage. Try downloading again and saving to Files first.
Refresh Library β†’ "Uploads" or toggle your internet connection. Uploads need an active connection to process. If it's still missing after 10 minutes, try uploading again.
Check that: 1) Your EPUB file is under 200 MB, 2) You're sending from an approved email address (check Amazon account settings), 3) Your Kindle device has space for new content.
All reading apps let you adjust text size. Look for "Aa" or gear icon in the reading interface. You can usually adjust font, size, line spacing, and background color to your preference.
Make sure you're signed in with the same account on all devices and have internet connection. For Apple Books, check that iCloud sync is enabled. For Google Play Books, ensure you're using the same Google account.
Check your Downloads folder or wherever your browser saves files. On mobile, try downloading again and pay attention to where it saves. You might need to allow your browser to access files/storage.
